About
Edward Blakeley is a growing young composer in soundtrack and multimedia applications. Whilst studying Music at the University of Leeds in the UK, he has been active in expanding his portfolio and increasing his experience in ranging styles.
Edward has composed music since he can remember. By the age of 18 he was running his own recording studio not far from his home town in East Sussex, UK. Here he gained experience in musicianship, recording, and producing. Among his clients was non other than nationally renowned Roger Carey, bassist for the legendary Jazz pianist/singer-songwriter Lianne Carroll (winner of BBC Jazz award). At roughly the same time he was playing live on the electric bass for Brit Award winning Blair MacKichan, who has produced for Will Young and Lilly Allen, and also Russell Field, touring drumming for Midge Ure and Barbara Dickson. Now, at university, Edward is working on multiple composition projects simultaneously, with the intent on increasing his experience and portfolio of work. He is currently working with student projects and open source multimedia applications.
